Abstract

Isplake na bazi ulja, zbog dobrih karakteristika, predstavljaju bitnu komponentu pri zahtjevnim uvjetima bušenja. Zbog visoke cijene i mogućeg štetnog utjecaja na okoliš, nakon upotrebe ih se uglavnom nastoji kvalitetno obraditi, kako bi se što dulje iznova mogle koristiti. Zbrinjavanju isplakom zauljenih krhotina razrušenih stijena mora se posvetiti posebna pažnja kako koncentracija ulja na krhotinama ne bi prelazila dozvoljene granice. Nastanak otpada za vrijeme bušenja bi trebalo što je više moguće spriječiti i smanjiti. Otpad koji nastaje pri bušenju, ukoliko je moguće, treba reciklirati i ponovno upotrijebiti, kako bi se što manji volumen otpada trebao trajno zbrinuti odlaganjem. Pri bušenju na moru postoje tri glavne mogućnosti zbrinjavanja otpada: ispuštanje u more/ocean, utiskivanje u podzemlje i zbrinjavanje na kopnu. Ispuštanje u more/ocean predstavlja najjednostavniji i najjeftiniji način, no ispuštanje isplaka na bazi ulja u okoliš nije dopušteno, a isplakom zauljene krhotine treba dodatno obraditi kako bi se mogle ispustiti i kako bi se što više isplake na bazi ulja moglo pridobiti. Ukoliko je ispuštanje zauljenih krhotina u određenom području zabranjeno ili se procijeni da ih je bolje zbrinuti nekom drugom metodom, mogu se, skupa s otpadnom isplakom, utisnuti u podzemlje ili uskladištiti, transportirati i zbrinuti na kopnu.

Abstract (english)

Abstract: Oil based drilling fluids represent important part of drilling process because of good performance especially in demanding conditions. Because of their high prices and harmful environmental impact, they should be treated properly, in order to avoid and minimize their disposal, and reused as much as possible. Oily cuttings should be treated before final disposal in order to achieve permitted concentrations of oil on the cuttings. Generally, all waste should be managed according to waste management hierarchy which includes waste minimization as the most preferable option, recycling and reuse of the waste, and the least preferable option, disposal. In offshore drilling operations there are three main options for disposal of used drilling mud and drill cuttings: offshore discharge, re-injection and onshore disposal. Offshore discharge is usually the cheapest and the simplest method of drilling waste disposal, but discharge of oil based drilling muds is not allowed so they should be treated and reused. Oily cuttings should be properly treated because of the extraction of the drilling fluid from them and because of their discharge in the sea in compliance with regulations. If discharge of oily cuttings is restricted or if it is decided that other option of disposal is more suitable, drill cuttings and spent drilling mud can be either re-injected into underground formations or stored, transported and handled onshore.
