Abstract

Zbog smanjenja emisija sumpora i dušikovih oksida u brodskom prijevozu, koje je nametnuto MARPOL-ovim Prilogom VI, potrebno je odabrati alternativno gorivo koje će ispuniti zadane ekološke uvjete te pri tome biti ekonomski isplativo. Kao logičan izbor nameće se ukapljeni prirodni plin. Ovaj diplomski rad se sastoji od pregleda metoda punjenja brodskih spremnika ukapljenim prirodnim plinom, procesa punjenja, sastavne opreme potrebne za punjenje i operativnih problema prilikom punjenja. Naposljetku, dan je pregled emisija i cijena ostalih brodskih goriva u usporedbi s ukapljenim prirodnim plinom.

Abstract (english)

Due to the reduction of sulfur and nitrogen oxide emissions in marine transport imposed by MARPOL Annex VI, it is necessary to select alternative fuel that will meet the set ecological conditions and be economically viable. A logical choice is liquefied natural gas. This thesis consists of examining the methods of filling the ship's fuel tanks with liquefied natural gas, the charging process (bunkering), required equipment and operational problems. Finally, a review of emissions and prices of other marine fuels is compared to the emissions and prices of liquefied natural gas.
