Abstract

Vodik se s razlogom naziva „gorivo budućnosti” zbog njegovog velikog potencijala u smanjenju
emisija stakleničkih plinova. Preduvjet korištenju vodika kao goriva je razvoj tehnologije
elektrolizatora i gorivnih članaka. U ovom radu predstavljeno je trenutno stanje u proizvodnji i
potrošnji vodika u svijetu. Također, analiziraju se mogućnosti korištenja postojeće
infrastrukture za transport i distribuciju fosilnih goriva za integraciju vodika u globalne
energetske sustave.

Abstract (english)

Hydrogen is symbolically called fuel of the future due to its great potential of greenhouse gas emissions reduction. Fuel cell and electrolyzer research and development is a prerequisite to widespread use of hydrogen as a fuel. Current status in production and demand of hydrogen is presented in this thesis. In addition, possibilities of using existent fossil fuel transportation infrastructure for implementation of hydrogen into global energy systems are also discussed.
