Abstract

Metode povećanja iscrpka nafte ili unaprijeđena proizvodnja nafte (engl. enhanced oil recovery − EOR) postaju sve značajnije za svjetsku opskrbu naftom, povećanjem proizvodnje nafte iz starih naftnih polja. Te metode također omogućavaju naftnoj industriji proizvodnju iz nekonvencionalnih ležišta, koje je nekoć bilo tehnološki nemoguće ili ekonomski neisplativo iskorištavati. Većina metoda za povećanje iscrpka nafte, koje se upotrebljavaju u svijetu su termalne metode, od kojih je najčešći postupak utiskivanja vodene pare u ležište kako bi se smanjila viskoznost nafte i olakšao njen protok kroz ležište. U konvencionalnim termalnim metodama utiskivanja vodene pare, ona se generira sagorijevanjem prirodnog plina, dok se u solarnim termalnim metodama, za generiranje pare koristi se tehnologija koncentrirane Sunčeve snage. Korištenje te tehnologije pruža značajno smanjenje troškova proizvodnje nafte ali i veliku ekološku korist.
Ovaj rad opisuje tehnologiju primjene solarne energije u povećanju iscrpka nafte korištenjem termalnih metoda. Također se prikazuje trenutno stanje tehnologije, povezani troškovi te budući potencijal; analizirajući dostupnu literaturu i pilot projekte.

Abstract (english)

Abstract: Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) is becoming increasingly significant to the global oil supply by increasing oil production in mature oil fields. EOR has also allowed the global oil industry to produce oil from unconventional reservoirs, which were previously thought to be technologically infeasible or economically unviable. The majority of global EOR production is based on thermal methods, predominately the injection of steam into a reservoir to lower the viscosity of oil and thus ease the flow through the reservoir.
In conventional steam injection thermal EOR, steam is produced by burning natural gas. In solar thermal EOR, concentrating solar power technology is used instead to generate steam. Using this technology offers significant savings for oil production but also great environmental benefits.
This work explains the technology of using solar energy for thermal EOR methods. It also shows the current state of this technology, associated costs and future potential by analyzing available literature and pilot projects.
