Abstract

S obzirom da se primarnim i sekundarnim metodama konvencionalna naftna ležišta mogu iscrpiti u prosjeku 30 – 40 %, mogućnost dodatnog iscrpka pomoću utiskivanja CO2 u naftno ležište danas postaje sve bolja opcija. Osim što se postiže dodatni iscrpak, vrši se i trajno skladištenje utisnutog CO2 te se tako smanjuju emisije stakleničkih plinova. Za sustav utiskivanja kao i odabir ležišta pogodnih za ostvarenje dodatnog iscrpka utiskivanjem CO2 potrebno je napraviti matematički model ležišta u kojem pomoću jednadžbe stanja opisano PVT ponašanje fluida pri određenim uvjetima. Budući da se u okviru starih PVT studija nije radila analiza interakcije ležišne nafte i CO2 u ovom radu opisan je postupak izgradnje PVT modela, te je napravljena simulacija spomenutih interakcija. Napravljena je analiza dostupnih podataka dobivenih iz PVT studija sa realnog naftnog ležišta, te je s tim podacima napravljena selekcija ulaznih podataka pomoću kojih se po koracima opisanim u ovom radu napravio PVT model prilagođavanjem Peng-Robinson jednadžbe stanja. Nakon prilagodbe jednadžbe stanja napravljena je simulacija istiskivanje nafte iz cijevi malog promjera kako bi se utvrdio minimalni tlak miješanja. Osim PVT analize, svrha ovog PVT modela bila je uporaba iste u jednom od računalnih simulatora procesa kako bi se dobila slika cijelog potencijalnog projekta utiskivanja CO2 i ostvarivanja dodatnog iscrpka pomoću mješivog istiskivanja nafte.

Abstract (english)

Given that conventional oil reservoirs can be depleted by an average of 30-40% by primary and secondary methods, the possibility of additional recovery by injecting CO2 into an oil reservoir is becoming an increasingly better option today. In addition to achieving additional recovery, permanent storage of compressed CO2 is also carried out, thus reducing greenhouse gas emissions. For the injection system, as well as the selection of reservoirs suitable for application of additional recovery by injection of CO2, it is necessary to create a mathematical model of the reservoir in which the PVT behavior of the fluid under certain conditions is described using equation of states. Given that the old PVT studies did not analyze the interaction of reservoir oil and CO2, this thesis describes the process of building a PVT model, and the simulation of said interactions was made. An analysis was made of the available data obtained from PVT studies from a real oil field, and with these data a selection of input data was made, with which a PVT model was created according to the steps described in this thesis, by adapting the Peng-Robinson equations of state. After adjusting the equation of state, a simulation of oil displacement from a slim-tube was made to determine the minimum miscibility pressure. In addition to the PVT analysis, the purpose of this PVT model was to use it in one of the computer process simulator software in order to get a picture of the entire potential CO2 injection project and the realization of additional recovery using miscible CO2 flooding.
