Abstract	This work presents the NRE Fleet and testing results from two underground mines: the Zimplats Mupani mine in Zimbabwe and the Tumela 15E mine in Amandelbult, South Africa, owned by Anglo American Platinum. The test results have clearly demonstrated that breast mining is a more effective compared to the room and pillar layout in narrow reef mining. The thesis is conducted as part of project 23024 - NRE-ElectRA (Electric, Remote Control, Automatic Narrow Reef Mining Equipment), funded by EIT RawMaterials.
