Abstract

Utjecaj geografskog položaja, broja stanovnika, energetskih procesa i titula najvećeg potrošača
ugljena učinila je Kinu jednom od najvažnijih i najmoćnijih velesila u svijetu. Njena
gospodarska nadmoć vidljiva je kroz brojne ekonomske reforme i strateško iskorištavanje
energetskih resursa koje uvozi iz zemalja kao što su Rusija i SAD-e, ali i njenu energetsku
važnost za ekonomski manje razvijene zemlje Europe . U ovom radu uspoređena je važnost
ekonomskog rasta Kine, te utjecaj proizvodnje i potrošnje energenata na geopolitičke odnose
Kine s zemljama Europe, Amerike i Azije .

Abstract (english)

The effects of its geographical position, population size, energy processes and the tittle of the
biggest coal consumer have made China one of the most important and powerful global
superpowers. Its economic dominance can be seen through many economic reforms and the
strategic usage of energy resources imported from countries like Russia and the USA and
through its energy importance to economically less developed countries of Europe. This thesis
compares the importance of the economic growth of China and impact of production and
consumption of energy sources on the geopolitical relationships between China and the
countries of Europe, the Americas and Asia.
