Abstract

Geotermalna energija je obnovljivi izvor energije, koji se naprednim tehnologijama i pravilnim korištenjem može koristiti kao zamjena fosilnim gorivima. Geotermalna energija ima glavnu karakteristiku fosilnih goriva, koja je najveći nedostatak ostalim obnovljivim oblicima energije, a to je da je stalno dostupna. Ona ne ovisi o dobu dana, godine ili vremenskim prilikama. Stoga geotermalna energija s razlogom zauzima mjesto među najpoželjinijim budućim energetskim resursima. Niskougljična proizvodnja energije Europske Unije kreće se prema svom vrhuncu, maksimalnog smanjenje emisija stakleničkih plinova. Ovakvim razvojem obnovljivi izvori energije doživljavaju svoj maksimum korištenja, a s obzirom da je cilj europskih strategija još daleko, s razlogom se smatra da će obnovljivi izvori energije u budućnosti doživjeti još veći tehnološki razvoj. Da bi se potakla ova promjena izvora energije Europska Unija sugerira i podupire različite mjere potpore za proizvodnju električne ili toplinske energije iz obnovljivih izvora.

Abstract (english)

Geothermal energy is a renewable source of energy, which can be used by advanced technologies and proper use as a substitute for fossil fuels. Geothermal energy has the main characteristic of fossil fuels, which is the biggest drawback of other renewable forms of energy, and it’s that geothermal energy is constantly available. It does not depend on the part of the day, year or weather forcast. That is why geothermal energy takes the place among the most desirable future energy resources. Low carbon production of the European Union is moving towards it’s peak, maximum reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. With this development, renewable energy sources experience their maximum use, and given that the goal of European strategies is still far behind, it is considered that renewable energy sources will in the future have an even greater technological development. To encourage this change of energy sources, the European Union has suggested and supported various support measures for the production of electricity or heat from renewable sources.
