Abstract

Radoboj je važno mjesto zbog svoje iznimno bogate geološke i rudarske baštine. Prema tome svrha ovoga završnog rada je širenje zanimljivih informacija o geologiji i rudarstvu te promoviranje kulturne baštine Radoboja. U radu se prvo izlažu geografske i geološke značajke mjesta Radoboj. Zatim povijesni čimbenici i rudarska tradicija, koja započinje pronalaskom sumpora i razvojem radobojskog stroja. Od geološke baštine spomenuto je mnoštvo fosila, od kojih su najistaknutiji fosili insekata i lista vinove loze pronađeni tijekom iskopa sumporokopa. Sve to utječe na iznimnu važnost mjesta Radoboj u geološkom i rudarskom smislu.

Abstract (english)

The municipality of Radoboj is a very important location due to its extremely rich geological and mining heritage. Therefore, the purpose of this Bachelor's thesis is to share interesting information about geology and mining and to promote the cultural heritage of Radoboj. In this paper firstly presented are the geographical and geological features of Radoboj. Historical factors and the mining tradition, which begins with the discovery of sulphur and the development of the Radoboj machine are also described. From geological heritage, there are various fossils mentioned, from which the most prominent are the fossils of insects and grapevine leaf found during the excavation of sulphur. All of that makes Radoboj an exceptionally significant place in geological and mining meaning.
