Abstract

Cilj istraživanja ovog diplomskog rada bio je odrediti utjecaj mineraloškog sastava na ponašanje određenih metalnih kationa u profilu pseudoglejnog tla na području vinogradarsko–vinarskog pokušališta Jazbina. Na prikupljenim uzorcima s različitih dubina vrha, sredine i dna padine, izvršena su brojna laboratorijska istraživanja koja su uključivala određivanje vrijednosti pH, električne vodljivosti, organskog ugljika, granulometrijskog sastava metodom prosijavanja i sedimentacije, granulometrijskog sastava laserskom difrakcijom, selektivno otapanje karbonata primjenom 5 % octene kiseline (HAc), selektivno otapanje organske materije pomoću vodikovog peroksida (H2O2), selektivno otapanje željezovih i manganskih oksida i hidroksida pomoću ditionit-citrat-bikarbonata (DCB), izvlačenje frakcije < 2 μm, rendgenska difrakcijska analiza (XRD) te određivanje ukupne koncentracije elemenata pomoću atomske apsorpcijske spektroskopije (AAS) i optičke emisijske spektroskopije induktivno spregnutom plazmom (ICP-OES). Na temelju provedenih laboratorijskih istraživanja može se zaključiti da se koncentracije svih utvrđenih elemenata nalaze unutar određenih granica odnosno ispod maksimalne dopuštene vrijednosti te da su željezo i mangan dominantni teški metali u analiziranim uzorcima što je karakteristično za pseudoglejna tla. Koncentracije biogenih elemenata (Ca, K, Na, P, Mg) značajnije su u horizontu 30-60 cm vrha padine. Nakon te dubine dolazi do pada njihove koncentracije što je posljedica granulometrijskog sastava u kojem dominira glina koja uzrokuje slabiju propusnost tla. Distribucija elemenata relativno prati distribuciju mineralnih faza pri čemu ulogu u tome imaju minerali glina, Fe i Mn oksidi i hidroksidi, sadržaj karbonata te organska materija.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this research was to determine the influence of the mineralogical composition on the behavior of certain metal cations in the profile of the pseudogley soil in the area of the Jazbina viticulture and winemaking experimental site. Numerous laboratory studies were carried out on the collected samples from different depths of the top, middle and bottom of the slope. The studies, included the determination of pH values, electrical conductivity, organic carbon, granulometric composition by the method of sieving and sedimentation, granulometric composition by laser diffraction, selective dissolution of carbonates using 5 % acetic acid (HAc), selective dissolution of organic matter using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), selective dissolution of iron and manganese oxides and hydroxides using dithionite-citrate-bicarbonate (DCB), extraction of the fraction < 2 μm, X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and determination of the total concentration of elements by atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES). Based on the conducted laboratory research, it can be concluded that the concentrations of all determined elements are within certain limits, i.e., below the maximum allowed value, and that iron and manganese are the dominant heavy metals in the analyzed samples, which is characteristic of pseudogley soils. Concentrations of biogenic elements (Ca, K, Na, P, Mg) are more significant in the 30-60 cm horizon of the top of the slope. After that depth, their concentration drops, because of the granulometric composition dominated by clay, which causes lower permeability of the soil. The distribution of elements relatively follows the distribution of mineral phases, where clay minerals, Fe and Mn oxides and hydroxides, carbonate content and organic matter play a significant role.
