Abstract

Europa bilježi pad domaće proizvodnje prirodnog plina. Potražnja za plinom se još više
povećala nakon gospodarske krize. Javlja se potreba za novim tranzitnim rutama dobave
prirodnog plina. Jugoistočna Europa čini glavnu poveznicu između zapadne Europe i novih
dobavljača plina. Važnost regije jugoistočne Europe nije samo u tranzitnim rutama nego i u
povećanju potražnje za plinom. Razvoj plinske infrastrukture jugoistočne Europe značit će
povećanje sigurnosti u opskrbi plinom za ostatak Europe. Rješenje pronalaska novih
dobavnih ruta se nalazi u više alternativnih scenarija uvoza prirodnog plina u jugoistočnu
Europu, a to su: Rusija (postojece i nove rute), kaspijska regija (Nabucco) i sjeverna Afrike
(plinovodi i UPP). Planovi za razvoj i financiranje plinske infrastrukture jugoistočne
Europe predstavljaju veliki izazov pošto je tržište jugoistočne Europe malo s obzirom na
trenutnu i buduću potražnju za plinom. Vlade zemalja jugoistočne Europe bi trebale
unaprijed razviti politiku plinske distribucije s obzirom na izgradnju transportne
infrastrukture kako bi investitori bili spremni za razvoj distribucijske mreže.

Abstract (english)

Abstract: Europe has had a decline in domestic natural gas production. Demand for gas is even more
increased after the economic crisis. A need for new transit routes for natural gas is
emerging. Southeast Europe forms a major link between Western Europe and the new gas
suppliers. The importance of the region of Southeast Europe is not only in the transit
routes, but also an increase in demand for gas. The development of Southeast Europe gas
infrastructure will mean increasing the security of gas supply in the rest of Europe.
Solution to find new supply routes are located in a number of alternative scenarios of
import of natural gas to eastern Europe, which are: Russia (existing and new routes),
Caspian Region (Nabucco) and North Africa. Plans for the development and financing of
Southeastern Europe gas infrastructure represents a major challenge because the market of
Southeast Europe is small regard to the current and future demand for gas. Governments of
the countries of Southeast Europe should develop a policy in advance gas distribution with
respect to the construction of transport infrastructure so that investors will be ready to
develop distribution networks.
