Abstract

Cilj istraživanja ovog rada bio je izdvajanje i opisivanje neformalnih litostratigrafskih jedinica te određivanje njihovog strukturno-geološkog položaja na području jugoistočnog dijela Ćićarije u svrhu izrade geološke karte mjerila 1:20.000 te karakterističnog geološkog profila poprečnog na pružanje kartiranih litostratigrafskih jedinica. Kartirane su i opisane neformalne litostratigrafske jedinice Sis, koja obilježava prijelaz iz donje u gornju kredu, gornjokredne neformalne litostratigrafske jedinice Milna, Sveti Duh i Gornji Humac te paleogenske litostratigrafske jedinice Foraminiferski vapnenci i Prijelazne naslage. Najmlađu kartiranu jedinicu čine kvartarne naslage. Glavnu strukturno-geološku cjelinu čini prebačena antiklinala izgrađena od krednih naslaga i Foraminiferskih vapnenaca koja je navučena na paleogenske Prijelazne naslage.

Abstract (english)

The purpose of this thesis was to define and describe lithostratigraphic units in the SE part of the Ćićarija Mountain, and determine their structural-geological position. The main result of the work is a geological map in 1:20,000 scale and characteristic geological profile normal to the strike of the main structure. Seven informal lithostratigraphic units were mapped: unit Sis marks the transition from the Lower to the Upper Cretaceous, Milna, Sveti Duh and Gornji Humac units represent Upper Cretaceous deposits, while Foraminifera Limestones and Transitional Deposits represent Palaeogene lithostratigraphic units. The youngest mapped unit is represented by Quaternary deposits. The main geological structure is an overturned anticline composed of Cretaceous and Foraminifera Limestones, thrusted over the Palaeogene Transitional Deposits.
