Abstract

Rad istražuje utjecaj geometrijskih i materijalnih karakteristika na pomake kratke konzole. U teorijskom dijelu obrađene su ključne postavke teorije elastičnosti te Euler-Bernoulli-Navierova i Timošenkova teorija savijanja grede, kao i Airyjeva funkcija naprezanja za ravninsko stanje. Cilj rada je usporediti pomake konzole dobivene primjenom ovih teorija te istražiti utjecaj posmičnih naprezanja na progibe. Praktični dio rada obuhvaća analitički proračun pomaka konzole opterećene koncentriranom silom na slobodnom kraju. Rezultati pokazuju da na doprinos posmična naprezanja ukupnom progibu značajno utječu geometrijske karakteristike dok su utjecaji materijalnih karakteristika minimalni.

Abstract (english)

This thesis explores the influence of geometrical and material characteristics on the displacements of a short cantilever. The theoretical part covers fundamental assumptions of elasticity theory, as well as Euler-Bernoulli- Navier and Timoshenko beam theories, and Airy's stress function for plane stress conditions. The aim of the study is to compare the cantilever's displacements obtained using these theories and examine the effect of shear stress on deflections. The practical part includes analytical calculations of cantilever displacements under a concentrated load at its free end. The results show that geometrical characteristics significantly affect the contribution of shear stresses to the total deflection, while the effects of material characteristics are minimal.
