Abstract

Čelik, odnosno ugljični čelik, je značajan konstrukcijski materijal čija je upotreba neobično značajna u naftnoj i petrokemijskoj industriji, rafinaciji, cjevovodima, rudarstvu itd. Proces korozije čelika predstavlja fizikalno-kemijsko međudjelovanje metala i njegova okoliša koje uzrokuje promjenu uporabnih svojstava metala te može dovesti do oštećenja funkcije metala, a samim time i do opasnosti od kvarova i nesreća. Ugljični čelik ima relativno ograničenu otpornost prema koroziji. U ovom radu provedena su ispitivanja fizikalno-kemijskih svojstava zaštitnog epoksidnog premaza na čeliku oznake S235JRG2. Premazi predstavljaju jedan od najčešćih načina zaštite metala od korozije. Ispitano je svojstvo debljine premaza, tvrdoće, sjaja, te prionjivosti. Ista su svojstva ispitana izlaganjem čeličnih pločica uzoraka korizivnim uvjetima slane i vlažne komore te morske vode. Dio uzoraka je prije nanošenja premaza fosfatiran kako bi se dodatno ispitali učinci fosfatiranja na svojstva premaza. Nakon izlaganja pločica uvjetima slane i vlažne komore na uzrocima nisu pronađeni tragovi korozijskih produkata, pucanja niti ljuštenja prevlake. Svojstvo prionjivosti ispitano je Pull off testom. Sila Pull off testa pokazuje manje vrijednosti za nefosfatirane uzorke (3,9 MPa) nego za fosfatirane (5,03 Mpa).

Abstract (english)

Steel or carbon steel is a significant construction material whose use is remarkably important in the oil and petrochemical industry, refining, pipelines, mining etc. The steel corrosion process represents the physico-chemical interaction of metals and their environment which causes change in usable metal properties and can lead to damage the functions of the metal, and thus the danger of malfunctions and accidents. Carbon steel has a relatively limited resistance to corrosion. In this paper, tests of some physico-chemical properties of protective epoxy coating on steel type S235JRG2 have been carried out. Coatings represent one of the ways to protect metal from corrosion. The properties of coating thickness, hardness, gloss and adhesion were investigated. The same properties were tested by exposing the sample steel plates to corrosive conditions of the salt and humid chamber and seawater. Part of the samples prior to application of the coating were phosphated to further investigate the effects of phosphatization on the properties of the coating. After exposure of the plates to the salt and moist chamber conditions, no traces of corrosion products, cracking or peeling of the coating were found on the surfaces. The traitability properties were tested by the Pull off test. Force pull off test shows less value for unphosphated samples (3.9 MPa) than for phosphated ones (5.03 MPa).
