Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu istražena su tla na području delte rijeke Neretve oko jezera Kuti. Terenskim radom prikupljena su tri različita tla: vapnenačko dolomitna crnica, smeđe tlo na vapnencu i regosol. Na tim tlima provedena su kemijska, mineraloška i geokemijska istraživanja s ciljem određivanja njihovih karakteristika. Određene su: reakcija tla (pH), električna vodljivost, sadržaj karbonata, organska tvar, Fe-oksidi i mineraloški sastav. Organska tvar odstranjena je iz frakcije <2 mm na dva načina, sa H2O2 i NaOCl. U uzorcima se zatim mjerio sadržaj Corg s ciljem određivanja učinkovitosti tih dviju metoda. Prisutnost i značaj Fe-oksida mjeren je tretmanima ditionitom i oksalatom. Mineraloške značajke određene su rendgenskom difrakcijom na prahu. Na uzorcima je provedena i sekvencijska ekstrakcijska analiza kako bi se odredila glavna mjesta vezanja metala u tragovima u tlu, odnosno procijenila njihova sposobnost remobilizacije i odredila biodostupnost. Analize su rađene prema BCR proceduri, a udjeli elemenata određeni su u četiri frakcije: (1) karbonatnoj, (2) frakciji Fe-Mn oksida i hidroksida, (3) organsko-sulfidnoj te (4) rezidalnoj frakciji. Mjereni su slijedeći elementi: Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Co, Cd, Ni, Cr, Pb. Ekstrakti dobiveni tretmanima ditionita, oksalata i sekvencijskom ekstrakcijskom analizom mjereni su na atomskom apsorpcijskom spektrometru.

Abstract (english)

Abstract: The thesis studies the soils in the area of the Neretva River Delta around the lake Kuti. Three different soil samples were collected: calcomelanosol, calcocambisol and regosol. Chemical, mineralogical and geochemical analysis of the collected soils were carried out in order to determine their properties, such as soil reaction (pH), electrical conductivity, content of carbonates. Organic material was removed from the fraction <2 mm using two methods, H2O2, and NaOCl. Following that, the content of TOC was measured in order to determine the effectiveness of these two methods. The presence and importance of Fe-oxide was measured using the dithionite and oxalate treatment. Mineralogical characteristics were determined by the help of XRD. Sequential extraction analysis was made to determine the main binding site of trace metals in the soil, and evaluate their ability to evaluate the bioavailability and remobilisation. The analyses were performed according to the BCR procedure and shares of elements were determined in four fractions: (1) carbonate, (2) the fraction of Fe-Mn oxide and hydroxide, (3) organic-sulphide, and (4) residual fraction. The following elements were measured: Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Co, Cd, Ni, Cr, Pb. The extracts obtained by dithionite treatment, oxalate and the sequential extraction analysis were measured by atomic absorption spectrometry.
