Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu istraženi su uzorci tla i sedimenta na području Velikog jezera otoka Mljeta. Terenskim istraživanjem prikupljen je uzorak smeđeg tla na vapnencu, uzorak koluvija i sediment s dna jezera u blizini istraživanog tla. Na uzorcima su provedena kemijska, mineraloška i geokemijska istraživanja u svrhu određivanja značajki tla i sedimenta. Analizama su određeni: boja, reakcija tla (pH), električna vodljivost (EC), sadržaj karbonata, kapacitet kationske zamjene (CEC), granulometrijski i mineraloški sastav te udio elemenata u tragovima. Prisutnost Fe i Mn oksihidroksida određena je tretmanom ditionita (DCB). Tretmanom zlatotopke određivani su sljedeći elementi u tragovima: Fe, Mn, Ni, Zn, Cu, Cr, Pb, Co i Cd. Ekstrakti dobiveni ovim tretmanima mjereni su na atomskom apsorpcijskom spektrometru (AAS). Mineraloški sastav određen je metodom rendgenske difrakcije na prahu (XRD). Rezultati ovog rada su pridonijeli boljem shvaćanju procesa trošenja tla i sedimenta na istraživanom lokalitetu.

Abstract (english)

Abstract: The thesis studies the soils and sediment near the Veliko jezero lake on the Island of Mljet. Three samples were collected: one sample of calcocambisol, one sample of colluvium and a shallow lake sediment. To determine the properties of soils, chemical, mineralogical and geochemical analyses were carried out. Laboratory analysis included: soil color determination, soil reaction (pH), electrical conductivity (EC), carbonate content, cation exchange capacity (CEC), mineralogical and particle size analysis and trace elements concentration. The presence of Fe and Mn oxides and hydroxides were determined using the dithionite treatment (DCB). Trace metals including Fe and Mn were measured by dissolving in aqua regia, and extracts from both methods have been analyzed by atomic apsorption spectrometry (AAS). Mineralogical characteristics were determined by X-ray diffraction method (XRD). Results of this thesis have contributed to better understanding of soil and sediment weathering on the location of research.
