Abstract

Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je istražiti geološku građu vršnog dijela Učke. Geološkim
kartiranjem prikupljeni su podatci za izradu geološke karte mjerila 1:20.000. Kartirano je i
opisano devet neformalnih litostratigrafskih jedinica. Jedinica Sis koja predstavlja prijelaz
iz donje u gornju kredu; gornjokredne jedinice Milna, Sveti Duh, Gornji Humac te
nedefinirane jedinice u ovom radu zvane Gornji kalcisferski vapnenac i Gornjosantonske
naslage; paleogenske jedinice Foraminiferski vapnenci te Prijelazne naslage i najniži dio
fliša te kvartarne naslage. U radu je potvrđeno da je južni vršni dio Učke u navlačnom
kontaktu s podlogom, ali sjeverna granica navlačne strukture nije precizno određena.
Utvrđeni su nalazi foraminiferskih vapnenaca na lokacijama na kojima prethodnim
istraživanjima nisu izdvojene. Konstrukcijom geoloških profila procijenjena je debljina
jedinica Gornji kalcisferski vapnenac i Gornjosantonske naslage. S ciljem prikaza
geoloških odnosa u dubini konstruirano je jedanaest geoloških profila.

Abstract (english)

The goal of this thesis was to investigate the geological seting of the Učka mountain peak
area. The data for the construction of a geological map in 1:20.000 scale were acquired
using geological mapping methods. Nine informal lithostratigraphic units were mapped
and described. Unit Sis represents a transition from the Lower to the Upper Cretaceous,
Upper Cretaceous deposits are described as units Milna, Sveti Duh, Gornji Humac and up
to now undefined units Upper Calcisphera Limestone and Upper Santonian Deposits,
Palaeogene units comprise Foraminifera Limestone and Transitional Deposits, while
Quarternary Deposits include rockfall deposits. The thesis confirms that the southern part
of the Učka peak area represents a thrust over underlying deposits, but the northern part of
the thrust structure is still not precisely located. Foraminifera Limestone outcrops were
found on the locations that were not previously mentioned. The thickness of the Upper
Calcisphera Limestone and Upper Santonian deposits were estimated from constructed
geological profiles. For the purpose of discussion of geological relationships in depth, 11
geological profiles were made.
