Abstract

Terensko mjerenje i uzorkovanje za diplomski rad izvršeno je na eksploatacijskom polju Kukalj,
smještenom u neposrednoj blizini Grada Benkovca. Na području Benkovačke zaravni tijekom eocena
taložen je tzv. „benkovački pločasti vapnenac“ definiran kao mineralna sirovina prirodni ili
arhitektonsko-građevni kamen. Ležište Kukalj je izgrađeno od krednih, paleogenskih i kvartarnih naslaga.
Cilj rada je prikazati proračun iskoristivosti stijenske mase. Procjena iskoristivosti određena je pomoću
linearnog, površinskog, te volumnog koeficijenta iskoristivosti. S obzirom na izračunate koeficijente
iskoristivosti može se zaključiti da se veliki dio kamenoloma Kukalj može iskoristiti u obliku ploča
budući da volumni koeficijent iskoristivosti iznosi 51,44%. Osim same procijene stijenske iskoristivosti
na terenu je obavljeno uzorkovanje, te su ispitana litološka i petrografska svojstva vapnenaca. Ispitana
svojstva i izračun iskoristivosti pomaže u daljnjoj eksploataciji kamena, te u samoj procjeni njegove
primjene.

Abstract (english)

Field investigations and sampling for this graduate thesis were done at the exploitation field Kukalj, located near
the town of Benkovac. The so-called „Benkovac platy limestone“ was deposited in the area of Benkovac plateau
during Eocene. "Benkovac platy limestone" is mineral raw material defined as natural building stone. The
Kukalj field is made of cretaceous, paleogenic and quaternary deposits.
The aim of this thesis is to show the calculation of the rock mass utilization coefficient. The utilization of the
rock mass is determined or calculated by a linear, surface and volume coefficient of utilization. According to the
results of the volume utilization coefficient which is 51.44%, it could be concluded that a large part of the
Kukalj quarry could be utilized. In addition to the rock utilization calculation, lithological and petrographic
properties of stone were also determined. Data of stone properties and utilization could help during the planning
of exploitation and in the estimation of stone usability.
